You know there’s a new exhibit at the Woody Guthrie Center in downtown Tulsa when the exterior window graphics change. These are done in four large prints for each pane of glass to create an image that is 12 feet wide by 15 feet tall.
These also have a side benefit in the summer months by blocking some of the light going into the museum.

A big part of a successful mural installation is setting realistic expectations with the client. We take photographs and detailed measurements then mock up the proposed sign/graphic/vehicle wrap to scale. This gets everyone on the same page from the beginning and gives our installers a clear set of instructions of how to complete the job in the field.
This is a textured surface vinyl applied to a concrete wall at McNellie’s in South Tulsa. Once completed, it gives the appearance that it is actually painted on the wall.

This custom wall logo for Atlas General Contractors is made from ¼” thick stainless steel with a #304 brush texture applied to the surface. This is the same brush texture that is used on a lot of higher end modern appliances. The backs of each piece have a stud welded to them. To install, a paper template is taped in place and holes are drilled for each stud mount. Then it is just a matter of applying some silicone adhesive and inserting each letter’s studs into the holes. The result is a very modern, clean sign that has no exposed fasteners.
These types of signs can be made from a variety of materials, thicknesses, and sizes. Give Precision Sign & Design a call today at 918-430-1102 to find out more.
These interior window graphics were done with three color cut vinyl – black, turquoise, and simulated Florentine gold vinyl. Throughout the exhibit, turquoise is used to as an accent color for the display signage. This design motif is repeated in the pinstripes that frame in the gold and black lettering. Gold lettering on its own would lack contrast with the clear windows so they are outlined in black vinyl.
There is actual 22 karat to 24 karat gold vinyl available that is often used on fire trucks. However, real gold is rather expensive as you can imagine and the 10-12 year life expectancy would be overkill for this application. To save on costs but still have the same look, we went with a simulated gold vinyl. It is a metallized vinyl film that looks nearly identical to the real thing.
